How long does it typically take for someone to buy a textbook on Ebay?

I just set up all of my books for sale on half.ebay.com and am waiting for them to be sold. How long should I wait before I change the price I am selling for? How do I know when it is sold? How often should I check it?

I literally just made this account and haven’t sold anything yet. Do you think someone would buy from an account that has a 0 next to it?

when you listed your books for sale ebay has a normal listing period or you set how long they would be listed for. they will remain listed for that period, when the period is over ebay will notify the winning bidders and the winning bidder should contact you

another option when listing an item for auction on ebay is to include a “buy it now” price. it will sell at that price if someone is willing to pay that price

ebay bidders are as likely to buy from an account that has never made a sale as they are to buy from an experienced seller if they like the price of what you are selling

The first time I used ebay I didnt realize that they charged me money as a seller even if I dint sell my goods. Id say do your research and see how much that book is going for from another seller. Do an ebay search for the title of the book and sort the results by the time ending soonest. check out some of the prices that people are getting for the book right now and how many other copies are available. then adjust your price accordingly.

How long is a piece of string.

It depends if you are selling tat, collectables or popular books, to name just a few variables.

Some advice, avoid ebay or its derivatives.

Try ebid.net, its free to list
