i sold a book that i don’t want to part with on half.com do i have to send the book or can i cancel the sale?

it is a fairly expensive textbook that i hadn’t read. i actually had to read it for the final AFTER i had sold it but not shipped it yet.

i now realize that this book is really really good and don’t want to part with it. is there a way to refund the money or stop the sale or is my only option to sell the book and buy another one for myself?

thanks tons for your help and replies!!!

The customer has already been charged, but you can cancel the sale by refunding the customer’s money. You should also do this as promptly as possible so the customer can reorder somewhere else. Go to “my account” then “sales” then select “issue refund” from the little pop-down menu at the extreme right. You should also send an email to the customer (“contact buyer”) in the same pop-down menu) apologizing and explaining the situation. Since your feedback ratings are important in selling on half.com you don’t want to cancel without some explanation to the customer. I have written an article ( http://www.ehow.com/how_2281210_pack-ship-books-sold-online.html ) about packing and shipping books should you need this information in the future.
