I bought a text book on half.com but it was the instructors edition?
Well here’s the full problem. Back in January 08 I bought an algebra textbook and when I received it it had black tape covering the top and back a little bit. In the description they didn’t mention the tape. I left the tape on because i thought it was ripped or something but when school ended and i wanted to sell the book i took the tape off and noticed it was an instructors edition. I contacted the seller and they didn’t respond and now I can’t sell it because it’s illegal to sell instructor books and also under the bar code it says NOT FOR SALE. So what should I do?? the book was for $100!!
-Please and thank you
well i think its illegal to sell,i don’t know to be honest
International Edition: Not for sale in Australia, Canada, Japan, UK/Europe or USA?
I bought a textbook online at half.com. It is a hardback nutrition textbook and it had this disclaimer on it.
What, (besides the obvious) does this mean?
More to the point, why?
This book is 120 at list price, I paid 59 (included shipping)
Buying and Selling International edition textbooks?
I wonder it is OK to sell and buy softcover or international edition textbook over the internet? International edition books tend to cost a half price of hard cover (US edition) and even have a statement on the cover stated that these books are for sale out of US only . However, many such books can be found very easily on popular “buy and sell previously owned items (Book, CD, Games, etc)” sites by individual sellers. Let say if I participate any of the activity like buying or selling any of these international edition textbooks using popular internet sites, am I violating the law?
Is it illegal to sell Instructor’s edition textbooks
My school was getting rid of all it’s old math textbooks, and was giving them away for free. I got a book that said “This work is protected by United States copyright laws and is provided solely for the use of college instructors in reviewing course materials for classroom use. Dissemination or sale of this work, or any part (including on the World Wide Web) is not permitted.”
Does this mean it’s illegal to sell it? Or is it just highly unethical?
