Even I know this is a WILD time for astrology. Megacycles are ending all over the place, new conjunctions are forming, and the equinox is shifting us toward the next season. Regardless of your primary language for communicating with Infinite Intelligence, this new moon seems a particularly good time to contemplate where we’re at and where we ‘re heading.

Overall Theme: Maple, the modifier for Land. It’s a message that we need grounding and time to build our strength. But even a tree that's losing its leaves is growing and putting its strength toward the next season. Staying grounded does not have to mean remaining stagnant and unchanged.
Potential & Allies: Ash and Birch, for transformation and new beginnings. With Ash, the transformation comes from within. We’re responsible for the shape we are shifting to, and Birch speaks to the changes brought by that effort…or maybe the new possibilities open to us once we accomplish the shift. This feels like potential for leveling up to a new form, but it means letting the old form go first (and possibly forever).
Static & Obstacles: Hawthorn, for obstacles (how literal). Yes, Hawthorn can be a protective barrier and no, it’s not to our advantage to force a way through. But there is usually another way, often a way we have rejected because it takes longer or requires us to use strategies that we feel less confident in. I think it’s also speaking to the risk of sticking with the devil we know. Considering the potential for shape-shifting Ash calls out, engaging with this obstacle in a new way could be the way forward. Flow like water, float on air.
Letting Go: Ivy, for binding and restriction. Again, considering the context of megacycles ending and new changes coming, remaining too strongly attached to old structures (or whatever supported you last season), is going to hold you back.
Helping Grow: Alder, for faith. Primarily, Alder is about your own faith that the steps you’re taking are going to be the right ones, bringing you closer to the best possible future. It also speaks of trusted guidance. If your own faith is lacking, you can borrow some from mentors or teachers or other loved ones whom you trust to have your interests at heart.
Everything feels ready for change and ripe with possibility. Another exciting thing about this reading is the sense that I have a lot of personal power over the path I create and the shape I choose for whatever comes next. Though that’s seldom NOT true, it’s still a great little pep talk from the universe.
What else do you see in this reading? I’m curious!
Brightest blessings,
Nicole
