Ogham Tuesday: Broom

If we had an ogham for “chop wood, carry water,” Broom might be it. When Broom shows up in a reading, it’s time to focus on the foundational actions that care for your environment and yourself. Stay hydrated, get enough rest, and wash your hands!
Broom also signals us to consider the tools that can help make our work easier. Sure, sweeping is still work, but the right broom makes it all easier (metaphorically and otherwise).
If you’ve had a period of inactivity (or frenzied activity), Broom shines a light on the need to clean things up. In every cycle, there are opportunities to “sweep” and repair any damage or resolve any disorder before proceeding to the next level. Cleaning as we go, right?
Finally, magical cleaning is just as important as physical cleaning. Call upon Broom in your inner work (before and during) to put right any thoughts, feelings, or unproductive habits that can affect your results.
Take care of yourself, as the first of your heroic deeds.
The Ogham Tuesday series started in 2023 and focused first on introducing each of the standard ogham alphabet in order. We're moving those posts to the blog now, so they can be more easily searched.
